Hello my name is Eleanor & I am the founder of Elley Jane.

I studied Fashion Design at the University of Westminster and have been working in Fashion Retail as a Buyer and Product Developer for the last 20 years. Then Covid struck and I like so many others got made redundant. So, the opportunity arose to start my own business which is something I always wanted to do but never had the time.

My mental health suffered after I was made redundant, job opportunities were few and far between. I got involved with an online wellness hub and started to think about the things that make you feel good and how I could combine that with my fashion background. Inspired by historical fashion and textiles I decided to create unique designs with uplifting, positive slogans that make you feel good.

Sustainability was also key so I did a lot of research to find the right suppliers. You can read more about this on our sustainability page.

Having moved to Surrey in 2019 I wanted to do the first photo shoot in my local area as going for local walks has inspired me to stay focused and start my own business.

With all the negativity going on in the world at the moment I want to spread a bit of love and kindness, I do hope you like what I have created.
